The Saline Beach – Less than two kilometres from the village centre (and also chosen by turtles as a good spot to lay their eggs – last year around one hundred hatched here!), the Saline beach is one of the longest golden-sandy beaches of Palinuro. It says a lot about this attractive location that, in the late nineteen-fifties, Club Med chose it as a base for a resort. Today, small lidos offer sunbeds and beach umbrellas for hire, but otherwise nothing has changed since the days of Club Med. A shuttle service runs every 20 minutes, connecting this beach with Palinuro village centre.
